as of early July

-Micah-

I would apologize for what may appear to be "slacking" on the posts, but I won't. Have you been watching our videos? I mean, come on! For amateur hour, they're pretty good, right?

Well, maybe we think too highly of ourselves. But a brief update for those of you who prefer the written word (see poll on right side bar):

Things are moving along here in Korea. Over one-third of the way through our contracted time here; trying not to celebrate prematurely, learning to live more for the present.

And what was the distant future is quickly becoming the present. Less than two weeks and Steph's Mom will be joining us in our 312 sq. ft. apartment, before joining us in some world-travel. Eagerly we await seeing a familiar family face from home. We'll just pretend like we are camping.

A blast was had when some Colorado friends dropped in via an extended layover. Matt and Emily joined us in Seoul for a few hours of traditional Korean architecture, changing of the guard, city seeing, and galbi eating. Regardless of the slight food-poisoning Emily and I experienced (on varying levels) due to said "traditional galbi eating," it was a memorable rendezvous.

Looking forward again, we will be spending three full days in the capital of China (that's three full packs of cigarettes we will be inhaling), the Great Wall, that Square, and a big palace. No doubt we'll inundate you with photos.

Fast-forward one week (I just realized our children will have no clue where the term "fast-forward" came from) to Thailand. Four days in Bangkok and five on the Isle of (Steph, what the island's name again?). Experiencing the two extremes of Thailand should prove fascinating. Look forward to the full report.

Beyond that, we are praying some friends and family out here for a year of their own; create our own little Colorado gang in Korea.

Well, that's our current status, I'm gonna go back to some lesson planning.

I'm only joking!

A woman in a hot-air balloon realized she was lost. She lowered her altitude and spotted a man in a boat below. She shouted to him, "Excuse me, can you help me? I promised a friend I would meet him an hour ago, but I don't know where I am."

The man consulted his portable GPS and replied, "You're in a hot air balloon, approximately 30 feet above a ground elevation of 2,346 feet above sea level. You are at 31 degrees, 14.97 minutes north latitude and 100 degrees, 49.09 minutes west longitude.

"She rolled her eyes and said, "You must be a Republican."

"I am," replied the man. "How did you know?"

"Well," answered the balloonist, "everything you told me is technically correct. But I have no idea what to do with your information, and I'm still lost. Frankly, you've not been much help to me."

The man smiled and responded, "You must be an 'Obama Democrat'."

"I am," replied the balloonist. "How did you know?"

"Well," said the man, "you don't know where you are or where you are going. You've risen to where you are, due to a large quantity of hot air. You made a promise you have no idea how to keep, and you expect me to solve your problem. You're in exactly the same position as you were before we met, but somehow, now it's my fault."

More Video!

Okay loyal fans, family and friends. You asked, we delivered.

Check out 2 brand new videos here.

We will continue to play and experiment with different styles and feels - let us know what you do/don't like.

Sadly we are severely limited, both by a 90sec time limit (which may prove to be a saving grace, for those of you who know how long I can talk...) and an older version of iMovie.

But as long as we can get you to laugh, that's all that really matters.
